Cisco Counts its DS Customers

Cisco says more than 3000 customers use its digital signs technology since its entry in the market in 2007.

Organisations in 85 countries employ Cisco's signage solutions-- from industries including retail, financial services, hospitality, education, health care and entertainment. These include the likes of JW Marriot, France's Crédit Agricole Nord de France and the Cyprus Telecommunications Authority (CYTA).

VIA brings its range of graphics and multi-display solutions to this year's Digital signage Expo, including its latest, the eH1 graphics card.

The VIA eH1 supports DirectX 10.1, OpenGL 3.1, OpenGL ES 2.0 and the stereoscopic 3D technologies, while handling multiple HD content streams. It is a low profile PCI-E add-in board, carrying the 64-bit S3 Chrome 5400E GPU.

ISE 2011 Lights Up with Prysm

Prysm EMEA VP Steve Scorse tells eSP and rAVe Europe Web TV how the company is now shipping its Laster Phosphor Display (LPD) products-- a low-power (27W per 25" tile), display technology shown off behind closed doors last year, now on full display at ISE 2011.

Clients can create a seamless display of any size using LPD tiles, Scorse says-- while taking care of their energy costs. The company's first client is American Eagle's SoHo Manhattan, store; one Scorse describes as being fairly impressive.

Lighthouse's ISE Impact

We speak to Jason Skillicorn, Lighthouse Sales and Marketing Director, at ISE 2011 about the company's latest LED products-- the Impact and DuoLED series. 

Impact is 4-colour LED panel series just launched at ISE 2011. The 2 Impact panel models (at 12mm and 16mm pixel pitch respectively) boast high brightness (6000 nits) and aim for outdoor installations such as stadiums.
