Avaya updates its SME UC suite with IP Office 8.0-- now including a new set of business mobility features. 

The mobility application suite, one-X Mobile Preferred for IP Office, enables access for UC capabilities on both Android and iPhone devices, with capabilities such as full multi-party conference management, integrated presence, instant messaging, geopresence and visual voicemail.

EMEA is the "standout region" for the WW Q3 2011 PBX market according to Infonetics Research-- growth reaches 11% Q-o-Q, despite fears due to the current economic situation. 

As for the global situation, the WW PBX market continues a "slow steady recovery," with revenues growing 5.5% Q-o-Q to reach $2.15 billion, reversing the declines seen in Q1 and Q2 2011. Y-o-Y growth totals 6.6%.
