Extron announces a partnership with Lenovo to create scalable meeting solutions, bringing Extron AV control capabilities to the Lenovo ThinkSmart Tiny and ThinkSmart Hub conferencing solutions.
The team up sees the integration of room automation, audio and signal extension with Lenovo ThinkSmart, Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms solutions, providing complete AV and conferencing control across the enterprise. The solution, the two companies claim, allow users to control call volume for the room and send commands to trigger automation events for display control, shades and lighting via simple tap on the ThinkSmart Hub display.
Customers can add occupancy sensors to the conferencing, control and automation ecosystem to automate system power, turning displays on when participants enter the room and turning them off when the room is empty. The result, Extron says, is effortless, centralised AV device control, all in the name of an "exceptional" collaboration experience.
