Lenovo announces a pair of solutions for enterprises building end-to-end applications leveraging Microsoft Azure-- the ThinkAgile MX1021 and ThinkSystem DM7100, both providing validated solutions for cloud tiering.

The ThinkAgile MX1021 uses Azure Stack HCI solutions to allow enterprises to move compute to the edge and act on data as soon as it is created. For example, it allows retailers to reduce inventory losses by analysing customer sentiment analysis data in realtime at the edge. In manufacturing, edge servers can collect sensor data, enabling realtime monitoring to increase efficiency and productivity. Healthcare organisations can combine the ThinkAgile MX1021 with Azure Stack Hub and Azure IoT Hub to tier medical data and increase the efficiencyof clinical, customer and operational analytics.
Meanwhile the ThinkSystem DM7100 all-flash array and hybrid flash enterprise-class solutions accelerate mission critical applications with end-to-end NVMe technology. Such capability is combined with hybrid cloud capability for Azure and other public clouds. The combo of all-flash performance and integrated Azure cloud tiering, the company says, allows customers to deploy applications leverage Azure with consistent data management across the enterprise. Lenovo adds users retain data reduction capabilities in the cloud, allowing for a cloud footprint reduction of up to 66%. All-flash NVMe storage improves transaction rates, while analytics speeds are improved by up to 30%, providing a competitive edge in the market.
