Project Nebula Enters Beta

E-mail Print PDF

Puppet announces the public beta of Project Nebula, an offering for teams wanting to unify various cloud-native and serverless technologies into a single, end-to-end deployment workflow.

Project NebulaThe public beta follows a private beta with participants in facing "significant challenges" in adopting containers, serverless infrastructure, microservices and observability for even simple cloud-native applications. Puppet also blocks out the lack of simple automation to easily compose multiple tools together for infrastructure provisioinig, application deployment and notifications into an end-to-end system, as well as the lack of a cohesive platform allowing multiple teams to share workflows and best practices to build into own deployments.

Enter Project Nebula. Puppet says the platform provides a consistent, easy-to-use experience for the deployment of cloud-native apps in a safe, secure and continuous manner. The initial feature set focuses on easy of use and productivity, with features including built-in workflows, support for over 20 popular cloud-native development tools (including Terraform, CloudFormation, Helm, Kubectl and Kustomize, among others) and easy visualisation providing a bird's eye view of the entire deployment workflow. In addition, easy to compose deployment workflows eliminate the process of writing ad-hoc bash scripts.

The Project Nebula public beta is available now.
