Nvidia sets to further push notebook graphics capabilities with the portable version of the Quadro RTX 6000-- a graphics card making a first appearance in the Asus ProArt StudioBook One, the "world's most powerful laptop" according to the company.

Asus Nvidia ace

Launched at IFA 2019, the StudioBook One is an angular 15-inch machine featuring a 4K UHD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Pantone validation and 100% Adobe RGB colour coverage. It also includes a 9th gen Intel Core i9 processor, 64GB DDR4 memory and a 90Wh battery. However the Quadro RTX 6000 GPU is the main highlight, even if Nvidia fails to provide details aside from it featuring 24GB of "ultra-fast" GPU memory and being capable of tasks such as real-time ray tracing, AI and 8K video acceleration.

Interestingly, the StudioBook One is also the first machine making part of "ACE"-- an Nvidia reference design for high-performance professional laptops. Such machines are designed to take advantage of the Quadro RTX 6000, with advanced thermal titanium vapour chamber cooling, Enhanced Optimus technology for seamless switching between discrete and integrated GPUs and a specially designed 300W power adapter promising charging and power at half the size of traditional 300W power bricks.

Asus is still to announce when the StudioBook One hits the market.
