Ingram Micro acquires further cloud prowess with Ensim, a provider of provisioning and management technology for cloud-based applications. The financial details of the deal are not available.

Founded 18 years ago, Ensim describes itself as a "leading provider of solutions to automate on-boarding, orchestration, provisioning, and management of users and organisations with business applications, services, and infrastructure in private, public and hybrid clouds." The Ensim partner network of resellers, integrators and service providers claims to serve over 5 million users across 20000 end customers ranging from small businesses to large enterprises.
As one might recall, Ingram itself is in the process of being acquired-- earlier this year Tianjin Tianhai (part of Chinese conglomerate HNA Group) announced it was buying the world's largest technology distributor for $6 billion.
