ViewSonic launches what it says is its fastest zero client yet-- the SC-Z56, an affordable and feature-rich quad DP output zero client for the virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) market.
It drives multiple displays in a virtualised environment and is ideal for customers wanting higher resolution performance and multiple display support, the company says.
Powering the SC-Z56 is Teradici Tera 2 architecture, a VMware Horizon View-certified, secure and manageable solution for VMware-based networks. Connectivity comes through 4 DisplayPort outputs and 6 USB ports, allowing it to simultaneously support up to 4 WUXGA (1920x1200) displays or 2 WQXGA (2560x1600) displays.
It ships in a compact form factor designed to be placed discretely away from desktops or even mounted on displays, with no HDD, fan or moving parts.
