XJ-UT310WN

Casio will release a new ultra short-throw projector in July. The mercury-free XJ-UT310WN offers 3100 ANSI lumens, and can also be operated from various smart devices such as tablets and smartphones.

The new XJ-UT310WN is an ultra short-throw projector that can project a large 80-inch image from a distance as near as 27 cms. It is equipped with the latest Laser & LED Hybrid Light Source, which uses a DLP chip to project the three basic colors of red, blue and green. Red is produced with a high-brightness red LED, while blue comes from a blue laser, and green is realized using a fluorescent material that converts blue laser light to green.

With a low power consumption of just 230 watts, the new projector still produces high brightness of 3100 lumens. The light source has a long life of about 20,000 hours. The projector has approximately two gigabytes of internal memory. The projection files can be downloaded to the memory over a wireless network, enabling easy projector use without a PC.

In conjunction with the launch of the XJ-UT310WN, Casio plans to offer an Android application at Google Play, and an iOS application at the Apple App Store. By linking a tablet or smartphone to the XJ-UT310WN, the user can control the projector from the smart device.

Features of the smart-device applications include pc remote operation, camera image projection, content projection, and projector operation.
