3M will demo a range of multi-touch displays based on 3M Projected Capacitive Technology (3M PCT) at CeBIT 2011. Stand demos will include an interactive 6-panel display wall, 22”and 32” multi-touch display totems and a 3-display cascading table station.

These will highlight the potential for full multi-touch technology implementation in a variety of single, multi-user and collaborative applications (including audio/visual, casino gaming, digital signage, education, media and broadcast, security, telecommunications and utilities).

3M PCT multi-touch technology can register up to 60 simultaneous touch events with less than 12-ms response time, making it “one of the fastest, most accurate and robust solutions available to users”.

Stand demonstrations will include the new 32” Multi-Touch Display C3266PW chassis, featuring a 1080p HD, wide viewing-angle LCD with 10-finger and 2-palm multi-touch capability, and a tandum of 22” multi-touch displays (M2256PW desktop and M2254PW chassis). All these displays are for integration into larger systems by integrators and OEMs.

Also on display are 3M’s industry-standard surface capacitive products which include: 3M MicroTouch System SCT3250EX (19” to 22” displays), 3M MicroTouch System SCT7650EX (vandal-prone and rugged applications) and 3MMicroTouch Display C2234SW (robust metal chassis housing).

In addition, the 3M MicroTouch System DST2270DX (dispersive signal technology for 32” to 46” displays) will be demonstrated.
