NewTek presents what it says is a first at ISE 2018 with the NDI HX, the first Network Device Interface (NDI) pan/tilt/zoom camera with video, audio, PTZ control, tally and power via single ethernet camera.

Newtek ISEThe 20x zoom IP video camera transmits 3G 1080p 60 video directly to any NDI-compatible product over standard network, including LiveStream Studio, SplitmediaLabs XSplit, Streamstar, OBS Studio, StudioCoast vMix, Telestream Wirecast and NewTek TriCaster. In addition, it also pushes video to popular desktop video applications such as Google Hangouts, GoToMeeting, Skype, WebEx and Zoom, meaning it also caters for education and broadcast video production needs.

Also seen at ISE is the latest Connect Spark portable NDI converters-- devices designed to bring SDI or HDMI video signals into a computer or IP network. Video can be pushed through both either ethernet or wifi, and comes with tally and direct recording. Other features include multicast support, LTC time code support, improved audio and virtual PTZ capability.

“NewTek’s software-based approach to hardware development has always allowed for flexible and game-changing workflows and capabilities,”  the company says. “Even though they are hardware devices, with Spark and our PTZ camera, our philosophy remains the same, which means an update to the firmware and drivers of these products delivers major improvements.”
