Enterprise communications provider Damovo continues its European expansion with the acquisition of Swiss Avaya partner Voice & Data Network (Vodanet) for an undisclosed sum.

Damovo switzerlandAs the Damovo puts it, the deal allows it to bolster its Avaya capabilities while adding the experience and expertise of the Zurich-based Vodanet team to its team, all in the name of becoming "the leading UC provider in Europe." It is the third recent acquisition of Damovo, following the 2015 buyout of Luxembourg-based IT firm CTTL and the 2016 buy of German Cisco consultancy Netfarmers.

Vodanet offers the full Avaya portfolio, as well as an own cloud-based offering.

“We already have built a strong Mitel business in Switzerland under the leadership of Claudio Donnaianna and the acquisition of Vodanet strengthens our position as a voice and data specialist," Damovo says. "There are very few Avaya partners that have built their own cloud platform, so the experience and the expertise that Vodanet brings in this area will be invaluable as we look to accelerate our growth. With Vodanet’s digital skills and Damovo’s multi-lingual support we not only have a strong foundation to grow our business in the Swiss region, but also the potential to expand our footprint into the Austrian market.”
