Windstream bolsters its SMB Unified Communications (UC) offering with the acquisition of Broadview Networks in an all cash deal worth $227.5 million.
Broadview offers a broad portfolio of cloud-based UC solutions aimed at SMBs under the OfficeSuite UC brand. It also continues to align with popular office applications such as OfficeSuite UC for Microsoft Dynamics 365.
"Broadview’s unique, proprietary unified communications solutions will advance our product portfolio, improving our competitiveness and ability to provide enhanced services to business customers," Windstream CEO Tony Thomas says. "The transaction also will enable us to leverage Broadview’s experienced salesforce and cloud operations across our national footprint."
Through the acquisition Windstream hopes to make $30 million in "annual operating synergies" in 2 years' time.
