Acer names corporate VP and president of Pan-America operations Emmanuel Fromont president of Acer EMEA-- replacing Luca Rossi following his leaving the company after 6 years of service due to "personal reasons."

Emmanuel FromontRossi was appointed EMEA president (in order to "restart growth", the company said at the time) less than 6 months ago. He will work with Fromont to ensure a "smooth transition of responsibilities," Acer adds.

Fromont joined Acer in 2008, where he served as VP of the Acer EMEA Packard Bell division. Before that he was Packard Bell VP of sales and marketing, as well as VP of the company's Mobility Business unit. Earlier in his career he also held positions at HP and IBM.

"Acer expresses its thanks to both Mr Fromont and Mr Rossi for handing over the pan-America and EMEA operations with a solid foundation and strong operating team," the company says. "The management changes come at a time when Acer is increasing its momentum."
