Dell PowerOne

PowerOne systems feature pre-integrated compute, storage, networking and data protection ssytem from the Dell EMC PowerEdge, PowerMax, PowerSwitch and PowerProtect lines. The result, the company says, is the simplest way for customers to to consume Dell EMC infrastructure, down to the fact the platform also supports virtualisation software from the Dell VMware unit.

Customers can use Kubernetes and Ansible workbooks to have the PowerOne autonomously perform thousands of tasks in ares such as deployment, provisioning and ongoing operations. As Dell EMC puts it, users need to choose an outcome before the PowerOne orchestrates the automated tasks required for the outcome, such as a workload-ready VMware cluster. Business and solution providers can also leverage a system-level API to link PowerOne resources to service portals and other existing tools, creating programming "infrastructure as code" environments.

The PowerOne ships globally from 22 November 2019.
