Carousel Cloud Integrates With BSN. Cloud

Carousel Digital Signage integrates Carousel Cloud, the subscription-based off-premise hosted digital signage service, with BSN. cloud, the network management platform from BrightSign.

Interoperability with BSN. cloud means Carousel Digital Signage users can quickly deploy a complete digital signage solution with minimal infrastructure and maintenance, as well as low total cost of ownership. A Carousel Cloud engine running on the BrightSign media player immediately configures the device for content playout upon connection, eliminating the need to manage settings, enable SD cards and through other configuration processes.

Visix Updates AvixTV Signage Suite

Visix releases version 1.30 of the AvixTV Signage Suite enterprise digital signage platform, together with Connect Room Sign version 3.11, adding JSON and XML calendar types and improving device management.

AvisTV 1.30 adds Adjust Message and Adjust Layout workflows allowing users to edit text and media files in fill-in messages and layouts. The Administer Players screens displays version, last snapshot and last update, and can be used to reboot or shutdown players. Version 1.30 also adds enhanced SAML authentication to the AvixTV Manage CMS.

The AvixTV Design desktop content design app also sees improvements to the Delphi calendar data widget and synchronisation with the CMS. A Data-Mapped Text Choice widget allows designers to specify the text they want to display, based on data available from the source. A basic user scenario would be "show the floor name based on the room number, or show the name when the for name is not available."

BrightSign Intros BrightVoice

BrightSign announces BrightVoice, a voice-activated digital signage solution enabling "unique" hands-free interactions with audiences using voice to trigger playback of on-screen content, music, lighting and other devices.

While such interactions mimic the workflow found in commercially available voice-enabled smart speakers and the like, the BrightVoice solution is hosted locally on the BrightSign player, meaning an internet connection is not required. Existing signage networks using BrightSign XD 1034 or XT 1144 media players can implement voice activation capabilities with the addition of a BrightVoice Command Model Service and a USB-connected microphone to each endpoint.
