E-mail Print PDF

Bosch Security Systems launches AEGIS SuperLED, a high performance LED-based illuminator with IP66-rated construction and sleek design.

Available in 850 nm and covert 940 nm infrared options, the AEGIS SuperLED features Bosch’s Constant Light technology which automatically controls and adjusts light output to compensate for LED degradation.

The optical output of a typical LED illuminator degrades by up to 10% within the first few months and continues to rapidly decay. With Bosch’s AEGIS illuminators, the HD night-time surveillance images are guaranteed to be the same throughout the 5 year lifetime of the product.

End Point Security Market $16bn by 2014

E-mail Print PDF

By 2014, network-based security provision to the business "endpoint" will account for close to 20% of a $15.7bn market, says Juniper Research.

Protection for business laptops, desktops and mobile devices with anti-virus, encryption and firewalls will reach $16.4bn. Despite any move towards "endpoint solutions" (where IT staff manage the security remotely through the network), the need for encryption products will drive demand.

As devices become more mobile-- and more likely to carry sensitive company information, encryption should increase at a rate of 26% to $4.3bn in 2014, spurred largely by data protection legislation in US, Europe and Japan.

Whitepaper and details on Endpoint Security for Business: Desktops, Laptops & Mobile Devices 2009-2014 can be freely downloaded.
