Sharp announces the addition of three "value-priced" 4K UHD interactive whiteboards to the AQUOS BOARD interactive display series-- the 70-inch PN-CE701H, 75-inch PN-C751H and 86-inch PN-C861H.

The three interactive displays offer many standard features from the AQUOS BOARD line, together with some advanced additions aimed at making lectures, presentations or lessons more creative and collaborative. UHD 4K resolution allows instructors to capture still and video images, as well as small text and complex graphics, while wireless connectivity eliminates the need for wires or adapters.

A Philips Hybrid USB Docking Monitor Duo

Philips announces a pair of additions to the B-Line display range-- the 241B7QUBHEB and 272B7QUBHEB, IPS LCD monitors featuring 24- and 27-inch QHD panels respectively and hybrid USB dock functionality.

The built-in USB docking station comes complete with DisplayLink Technology offering the convenience of universal port replication, allowing users to easily connect notebooks to networks, transfer files, watch videos and more, all through a single dual-mesh USB cable with Type-C and Type-A connectors. All peripherals, including keyboard, mouse and RJ-45 ethernet cable, can connect to the docking station, reducing cable clutter.

Microsoft Puts Suface Hub 2 on Steelcase Roam

Microsoft announces the next generation of Surface Hub together with a Steelcase collaboration-- the 85-inch Surface Hub 2S and SteelCase Roam, a mobile stand designed for use with the collaboration-focused display.

For readers in need of a refresher, the Surface Hub 2S is an oversized conference room touch-enabled display with collaboration capabilities. It comes in either 50- or 85-inch size, and offers all capabilities of a Windows 10 PC, with Microsoft Teams, Office 365, Microsoft Whiteboards and cloud connectivity. Built-in 4K camera, "crytal clear" speakers and far-field mic array allow for conferencing with remote teams, and customers can upgrade the machine by simply swapping out a removable processor cartridge.

JOLED Builds Printed OLED Facility

Japanese OLED display vendor JOLED announces plans to start mass production of such displays in 2020 through a manufacturing facility able to produce hundreds of thousands of panels using printed OLED technology.

JOLED brings together the OLED operations of Sony and Panasonic. It currently makes printed OLED displays at a 4.5 Gen production line in Nomi, Japan, and is building a 5.5 Gen pre-process printed OLED plant near the same location. It also started construction of another post-process printed OLED facility in Chiba to complement the Nomi 5.5 Gen line, set to go online in 2020.
