HPE acquires Cloud Cruiser, a provider of cloud-consumption analytics software enabling customers to manage and optimise public, private and hybrid cloud usage and spending, for an unspecified sum.
Founded in 2010, Cloud Cruiser counts the likes of Microsoft, TD Bank, NTT, Ford and KPN as customers. Its new onwer is also a customer, since its solutions find use in the Flexible Capacity business. As such, HPE describes the acquisition as "additional investment in HPE Flexible Capacity, to further differentiate and strengthen this high growth service."
"By continuing to enhance the Cloud Cruiser platform and SaaS app Cloud Cruiser 16, more tightly integrating it into HPE Flexible Capacity and leveraging the deep domain expertise of the Cloud Cruiser team, we are excited about the opportunity to accelerate the adoption of innovative consumption-based IT offerings and simplify hybrid IT for our customers," HPE adds.
Once the transaction closes Cloud Cruiser becomes part of the HPE Datacentre Care portfolio within the Technology Services Support organisation, with CEO David Zabrowski reporting to HPE senior VP Scott Weller.
