Crestron starts shipping the HD Scaling Presentation Switcher & Extender 400, HD-MD-400-C-E,-- an HDMI switcher and extender pair aimed at small meeting rooms, huddle rooms and classrooms.
The package contains a 3x1+1 switcher, scaler and extender. The switcher has 2 HDMI inputs, 1 VGA input (with 1 analog audio input), and sends HDBaseT to the receiver mounted behind the room display or above the projector. The receiver features an additional HDMI input for a local source.
The pair handles video and computer sources with 1080p60, 1080i30 or WUXGA 1920x1200 resolution. Wiring distance reaches up to 70m.
Ethernet connectivity also allows connection to Crestron Fusion management software for the monitoring, management and control of technology in the room.
Both transmitter and receiver are compact enough to fit inside a presentation lectern, beneath a table, mounted on a wall behind a flat-panel display or on the ceiling above a projector.
Customers can also attach both to a single rack rail in the back of an equipment cabinet, with power coming through a single wall mount power pack (included). HDBaseT connection carries power between the transmitter and receiver.
