Kaminario announces the latest version of the K2 mid-range enterprise all-flash array-- the K2 v5.5, featuring 3D TLC SSDs, native array-based replication and Kaminario's Perpetual Array.
K2 arrays consist of dual-controller K-Blocks. Each K2 v5.5 block holds up to 360TB of SSD storage scalable to "multiple petabytes," with SSD-optimised writing and inline data reduction.
In addition the K2 v5.5 features native array-based asynchronous replication (allows customers to replicate data anywhere across multiple K2 arrays) and the Perpetual Array program (helps with support for any and all hardware added to the K2).
Customers can mix and match different K2 generations within the same array, allowing for easier hardware upgrades and retirements without forklift upgrades or disruptive data migration.
The Kaminario K2 v5.5 ships from Q3 2015.
