E-mail Print PDF

Huawei launches LiteOS-- a lightweight (at all of 10KB) operating system designed for the devices making the Internet of Things (IoT) with zero configuration, auto-discovery and auto-networking support.

LiteOS AnnouncementLiteOS is an open source technology and can be deployed in just about every connected device, from electricity metros and street lights to wearable devices and connected vehicles.

According to the company global connections will total 100 billion by 2015, with 2 million new sensors being deployed every hour. As a result networks need a means to support such infrastructure, bringing about the Huawei Agile IoT Solution, which the LiteOS is part of.

The other two parts of the solution are the Agile IoT Gateway and Agile Controller. All make part of the latest version of the Huawei Agile Network architecture.

In addition Huawei also releases a number of IoT-relevant networking products-- the 100T datacentre switches, the wifi and LTE Integration Access Agile Mobile Solution, high throughput routers and the "Device, Network, Cloud" end-to-end security solution.
