Avnet opens a new EMEA region datacentre in Nettetal, Germany, one hosting a number of the company's critical business services, including messaging services (email/mobile) and core business applications.
The company says the facility features tier-one security solutions, including state-of-the-art fire suppression and biometric access. As for environmental standards it uses hot aisle containment and energy efficient cooling to reduce carbon footprint.
In addition the datacentre features a separate environment hosting equipment for the company's VMware, Veeam and DataCore courses.
"Fitted with the latest data centre, networking and security technologies, the facility plays a key role in our global data centre strategy and is fully integrated with our global network of data centers,” the company adds.
