Presenter or Content? Now You Can Have Both

E-mail Print PDF

Pexip

In a first-ever public demonstration, Pexip's Marius Nilsen showcases dual stream, bidirectional RDP content sharing to Microsoft Lync 2010, 2013 and Lync Online from standards-based SIP or H.323 video conferencing systems.

Pexip Infinity transcodes BFCP or H.239 presentation content into RDP and keeps it separate from video when sharing to Lync users in a meeting.

The feature significantly enhances the user experience when meeting across systems including Lync and legacy video. Up until today, Lync users had to select whether they wanted to see the presented content, or the presenter. It was not an option to see both. This solution has been less than ideal, especially for dual-screen systems and Lync Room Systems, but also for single screen users. Seeing the presenter is paramount in many situations--especially where a strong two-way or multi-way dialog is present.

If you are a current user of Pexip Infinity, this feature becomes available as a free update to the software in Q4 2014. Dual stream bi-directional RDP content sharing becomes a standard part of Pexip Infinity in a product release this fall.

If you are not already a user, the company offers a free Test Drive.
