Violin Memory adds enterprise data services software for the Concerto 7000 all flash array, including synchronous and asynchronous replication and stretch metro cluster capabilities.
Further additions include storage snapshots, thin provisioning, LUN and capacity expansion, advanced data protection and storage scaling.
Customers can also configure a number of critical software elements, including continuous data protection, WAN optimised replication and in-flight encryption, on a LUN-by-LUN basis for tailing to specific deployment and data centre requirements.
The Concerto 7000 hardware platform is based on Violin's Flash Fabric Architecture, and promises up to 20x faster application response times while using 90% less floor space, power and cooling. It is available in capacities of up to 280TB in a fully configured 18RU footprint.
Violin also offers a Concerto 7000 upgrade kit for owners of current 6000 series all-flash array solutions.
