ALSO becomes a "cloud enabler" with the acquisition of Finland-based cloud brokerage enablement platform developer Nervogrid Oy for an undisclosed sum.
Following finalisation of the acquisition Nrvogrid Oy will be renamed as ALSO Cloud Oy.
The main Nervogrid Oy product is Cloud Conrol Panel as a Service, a web-based technology allowing customers and resellers to provide various cloud services (including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS) via simple drag-and-drop interface. It the entire sales process, from cloud service roll-out to performance reports and billing.
The company employs around 30 people and sees 2013 sales worth €3 million.
"With this acquisition, ALSO Holding AG wants to strengthen its expertise in the cloud business and to develop it further," ALSO CEO Gustavo Möller-Hergt says. "This service platform enables us to create a bridge between vendor and reseller."
